‘BVB→Munich’ shock transfer completes again… Bundesliga helpmate Tuchelho set to join the club

Raphael Guerreiro (Dortmund, 29) could be headed to Bayern Munich.

According to Florian Plettenberg of Germany’s Sky Sports, “Geheiro is aware of Munich’s interest. He wants to continue his career in the Bundesliga and it is considered conceivable that he could join the Bavarians.”

“Munich want him, as is known, and the first 안전놀이터 talks were positive. Geheiro informed his Dortmund teammates that Munich wanted him. He and Munich coach Thomas Tuchel have an excellent relationship.”

Geheiro joined Dortmund from Lorient in July 2016 for a transfer fee of €12 million. He quickly established himself in the starting lineup and has been a force in the side with high attacking points each season.

In 2022-23, he won the Bundesliga’s assist title. In 27 league appearances, he produced 12 assists. That put him at the top of the assists list, one ahead of Randall Kolo Moani (11).

Geheiro last signed a new contract with the club in October 2019, and his contract will expire at the end of this season. The news of his departure was announced on the club’s website after the final match of the season. “The memories I made at Dortmund taught me a lot. I realized that I really love soccer. Playing for this club and defending for Dortmund is something I will never forget.”

And so ended a seven-year partnership. Geheiro made 224 official appearances, scoring 40 goals and providing 50 assists. He also won two DFB-Pokal titles and one German Super Cup.

His next stop is likely to be Munich in the same league. Geheiro wants to continue his career in Germany, and the Bavarians have made an offer, especially given his connection to Tuchel. Tuchel was his coach when he joined the club. “Thomas Tuchel and Geheiro have the best relationship in Munich,” Plettenberg said.

The way things are shaping up, a move to Munich seems likely unless something changes. Even though it’s a free transfer, Dortmund fans are bound to be disappointed.
