Cheongdamgo wins over Soraego after a hard-fought battle.
Cheongdam High School defeated Sorae High School 13-7 and advanced to the second round of the 51st Bonghwangdaegi National High School Baseball Championship.
On the 20th, Pyeongtaek Cheongdam High 스포츠토토 School faced Sorae High School in Siheung at Mokdong Sports Complex Baseball Field in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, and led the game leisurely throughout the first half, widening the gap to 5-0 in the beginning of the 6th inning. Cheongdam High School’s composure turned into a sense of crisis when Sorae High, showing off his back, brought five batters home with consecutive hits at the end of the 6th inning and tied the score.
Afterwards, showing strong batting power, Cheongdam High School escaped the crisis by scoring 8 runs in two innings. In particular, in the top of the 8th inning, Song Hyeok-jun, who called in all the preceding runners in the bases loaded situation, started with a 3-RBI triple, followed by Park Hyung-joon and Lim Chae-min, who scored 1 run each with 3 bases and a hit in succession, avenging the insult of 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning.
Soraego tried to rekindle the pursuit with an additional 2 points, but in the end, he could not turn the victory over and had to swallow the anger of defeat.
