Park Hyo-joon ‘bangs’ on three-run shot… .292 on the season, ‘re-aims’ for big league in September

Hyo-Jun Park hits a three-run shot.

Hyo-Jun Park, who plays for the Triple-A 안전놀이터 Gwinnett Strikers of the Atlanta Braves organization, hit a three-run home run to right field in the top of the fifth inning to give the Miami Marlins a 3-0 lead against the Triple-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp at 123 Financial Ballpark in Jacksville, Florida, on June 26. It was his fifth of the season.

Park, batting sixth in right field on the day, had gotten on base earlier in the inning with an exquisite bunt in front of the third baseman. In his next three at-bats, he struck out.

Park’s two hits in five at-bats raised his season average to .292. His OPS is now 0.833.

Park will look to break into the big leagues during the 28-man expansion roster in September.

Atlanta currently leads the National League East.
