Tottenham insider creepy joke: “Man Utd, you’ll have to kill Levi to buy Kane, lol”

Could Manchester United land Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)?

‘A source working with Tottenham’s Daniel Levy joked that United would have to kill him to sign Kane,’ the Manchester Evening News (MEN) reported on June 26.

The implication is that Levy will not sell Kane as long as he remains chairman of Tottenham.

Spurs have one year left on Kane’s contract. At the end of the 2023-2024 season, he will be an unrestricted free agent. The Spurs could get rid of him for nothing.

Spurs have two options. This summer’s transfer window is their last chance to sell Kane on the cheap. Or they can sign him to an extension.

Levy has even declared that he will 먹튀검증 not sell Kane out of contract, even if it means losing him without a transfer fee. In fact, Manchester City made an offer for Kane in 2021, but Levy didn’t even start negotiations.

What Tottenham lack is a championship.

Kane is arguably England’s best striker. He is second on the Premier League’s all-time goalscoring list. He’s 41 goals shy of Alan Shearer’s 260. He”s already set the Tottenham franchise record for most goals.

But no major trophies. Tottenham has been relegated for 15 consecutive years. They don”t spend as much as their rival big clubs. It’s very likely that they won’t win a title in the future.

Levy told Kane that winning trophies was important, but being a legend at a club meant a lot to him, and that one day there could be a statue of him in front of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

As such, United are unlikely to go all-in on Kane.

According to the MEN, ‘United boss Eric Tenghach wants Kane very strongly but is also keeping an eye on Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. United have not ended their interest in Kane but are actively exploring other options as Levy has made it clear he will not sell.

Meanwhile, Kane’s price tag is expected to reach at least £100 million.
